Photography credits and policy
Every image on this site, where it came from, and the licence it carries.
Every photograph on this site is licensed stock, used to illustrate. None of it shows work performed by Red Hammer Roofing, a property we have worked on, or a person who works here.
The rule we apply
A roofing photograph does two quite different jobs. It can show you what a thing is, what a standing seam differs from an exposed-fastener panel, what a storm cell looks like coming across open country. Or it can show you what a contractor did. The first is illustration. The second is evidence, and it is the one homeowners actually use to judge a roofer.
Stock photography can honestly do the first job. It cannot do the second without misleading you, so on this site it never tries. Nothing here is captioned, labelled or implied to be a roof we worked on, a property we attended, or a member of our crew. Where a person appears in an image, that person is a model rather than somebody who works for this business.
Licence
All images below are published under the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 public domain dedication, which permits commercial use and requires no attribution. We list the source and the library’s own photo reference anyway, so any image here can be traced back to where it came from. Every figure and legal claim on this site carries a source you can check, and it would be strange to exempt the photographs.
